Wondering where to stay in Dubai with family?
Simply put like this, you have a few possibilities in this exciting city which mostly depend on your budget as well as what kind of holiday you want to have.
There are plenty of activities to be found in this amazing city for young and old but it also offers iconic buildings, beautiful architecture and quite a rich history.
These highlights are spread over the city and the distance between the touristy Dubai Marina to Downtown Dubai – where you can find iconic buildings such as the Burj Khalifa – is almost twenty-five kilometres.
So, choosing the best area in Dubai with family is therefore slightly challenging.
But, in this article, we cover all the information you need to make the right decision.
Each recommended area comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. We will summarize these pros and cons after each paragraph.
I must admit, each area targets a different group, so if you are very clear to yourself about what reason you visit Dubai, it does get quite easily to decide after reading this article.
With that being said, let’s jump to the results.
In short: The best areas to stay in Dubai with family are Jumeirah Beach, Jumeirah Palm, Downtown Dubai, Al Barsha and Al Fahidi & Deira.
We highly recommend staying near the beach, unless you only stay for a very short period of time in Dubai.
Another major factor that plays a role in deciding where to stay is budget.
Areas in the heart of the city or near Jumeirah Beach Residence are simply expensive.
Luckily, there are budget-friendly options and Dubai’s metro system allows you stay a bit away from these parts while getting to the major attractions without much hassle.
Let’s breakdown the recommended areas and define what makes them so special.
1. Jumeirah Beach: As the name already suggests, this is a beach area. Most of the major attractions in Dubai are conveniently located near this particular area. It’s not always easy to find something affordable, but it’s definitely doable to find something that fits your budget on the outskirts of Jumeirah.
2. Jumeirah Palm: This area is the ultimate holiday experience where the sky is the limit for young and old. If your budget allows it, there is no better option to keep all of you entertained throughout the day and night. Just keep in mind that it does not come cheap at all.
3. Downtown Dubai: This is the area where you can find the Burj Kalifa. You’re in the heart of modern Dubai full of skyscrapers. It’s incredibly convenient to stay here many attractions are located here. Keep in mind that you don’t have direct access to the beach, that it’s the busiest part of the city, and that you pay a premium to stay here. I would recommend only staying here with family when you visit Dubai for just a few days.
4. Al Barsha: If you travel on a bit of a budget, then Al Barsha is by far the best option. You don’t have direct access to the beaches, and you have to travel just a bit more to reach the major attractions compared to the premium areas, but it’s still an incredibly good option. It’s Dubai’s budget-friendly area so there is an abundance of affordable hotels of excellent quality.
5. Al Fahidi & Deira Long:….
